Feng Shui
Our living spaces are a reflection of our relationship with life. We can adjust our environment to support balance in all aspects of our lives. Feng Shui is the ancient art and science that guides us to create harmony and wholeness within an environment that supports your intentions. Your dwelling is more than just a mirror; it is a dynamic interplay of relationships that influence your emotions and thought patterns. Your home affects you just as you affect it. Colors, patterns and structures with which you surround yourself generate energetic vibrations. Homes are an active force in our lives, regardless of whether we tend them or not. By becoming aware of how your environment mirrors you and how to shift its energy, you can turn a home, nursery, studio or work place into a positive and affirming space. By first working with the principles of Building Biology, and eliminating interferences, the effectiveness of the implementation of Feng Shui will be optimized.

Feng Shui (pronounced 'fung shway') is the four thousand year old art of placement and philosophy used to enhance a positive flow of energy and harmony in your environment. This ancient discipline is based on the belief that chi or life force flows everywhere, in people, plants, animals, buildings, hills, rivers, roads etc. If chi is unrestricted and flows smoothly it promotes a healthy uplifting environment. If chi is blocked, stagnated or moves too quickly it may cause stress, illness or turmoil.Applying the principles of Feng Shui, adjustments or solutions may be made to create and restore a sense of balance and harmony.
There are many factors to consider when applying Feng Shui principles. Once assessments are made, adjustments can be implemented to correct imbalances and cultivate positive chi. Here are some factors that are considered:

• The chi or energy of the land

• The orientation of the lot, relationship with surrounding land features, water ways, roads, other buildings and utilities

• Landscaping, paths, gardens, use of trees, plants, water features

• Use of sculptures and other art on the site with meaning or symbolism, or representation of feng shui elements to facilitate appropriate movement of chi

• Architecture and floor-plan review for feng shui design details of the structure

• Choosing the best orientation of rooms for new construction, remodels or room for a new family member- such as the best room for the nursery

• Arrangement or orientation of furnishings, art and décor

• Color, shape, texture and conscious application of the 5 elements (Earth, Metal, Water, Wood & Fire)
